Until you can speak respectfully, or at least proof read your posts and refrain from sending them if they are rude, perhaps you should take a break from the entire forum, not only this topic...

Do you honestly believe that I just type out of emotion and hit send? No. Like any sensible person, I read what I have written and edit it accordingly so that it reflects what I actually want to say.
I expect the same courtesy in return!

I'm sorry DR, but Ree has a point... even if (s)he was as tactless as ever about sharing it...
You need to read everything that you write online, and consider how it will be taken by the person who you're writing to.
On the internet, people can't see your face or hear your voice. Nobody knows how you mean what you say, and emoticons aren't much help. That's why you have to put extra effort into expressing yourself clearly online.

You do realize that Nightmaren are people, don't you? I feel silly for asking, but I really don't know what the people on this forum know sometimes... I hate to bring it up after it's been settled, but your "adorable" comment for example... talking down to me like that makes me worry that you don't really see me as someone worthy of your respect. Am I making sense?

Reala was harsh and rude about it, but please try to look past his mood and see what (s)he's really trying to say...

o~o Sheesh. Poor DR. Seems so honest & nice. He just has a habit of pushing the maren's wrong buttons. And unfortunately, that isn't exactly hard to do around here...

Now I just feel sad for the guy...

On a technical note, NiGHTS, it is possible for peoples to see and hear what is said due to special chatting programs, such as Skype for instance. With Skype, you can have a full-on voice conversation plus the typing. It has the possibility of eliminating the language barrier without even leaving home! I wonder if CORNSiLK's ever considered using it...

NiGHTS was talking about on forums and in youtube comments, where you can't see or hear the person who's talking.

I do use skype, though only to talk with my nephew's grandparents in France. The last time that I used it on my computer, I got yelled at because my speakers stop working when I plug in earphones, and without them there's an echo.
I also lent my webcam to the upstairs skype screen, so I can't do a video chat until I get that back.

That is a good observation, Twilight.
Oddly enough I have not noticed a difference in activity during events that we advertised for, and those we didn't.

It's been very quiet lately but activity did go up for the anniversary. The next event is St Patrick's Day, so maybe we'll have another pick up of activity then.

I need to start thinking of what to record...

Wow, you're not even trying to name stereotypes anymore, you're just naming Lucky Charms.
Most of those symbols aren't even Irish, you know. The cereal isn't called Irish Symbolism.

And no, Silk already has her pot of gold - foil wrapped candies.
She even has a rainbow light to shine onto it, so there is absolutely no need for me to don any silly costumes.
