Yeah, it was a theory, although not a very well executed theory.

I'm betting that the show will never explain the whole immortality thing with alicorns. I think that part of the show will leave up to headcanon.

But I've found the Cake babies very interesting in regard to pony genetics. When I took biology, it is stated that aspects of previous generations can show up in a baby, as long as both parents have the trait. A Brony geneticist had done a simple study on pony genetics. It's very fascinating.

Over thinking stuff if my specialty. That's how I get good fanfiction written. I wrote a fanfiction explaining that Equestria is a society that mostly ran and populated by mares, and colts are having a hard time adjusting to the mostly mare population. I mean, come on, there aren't too many male characters in the show.

Well naturally, Pickle.
You see, in wild herds it is the mares who decide which direction the herd is traveling in. More specifically, it is the head mare, who has the most experience and has gained the trust of the herd, while the stallion brings up the rear.
It seems to me that the show is simply following the basic instincts of an equine race.
There is a very good reason why they are led by a Princess, and not a King...

Although a knowledge of equines adds more the some of the jokes in My Little Pony. According to my friend who knows a lot about equines, pony puns are everywhere in that show. My favorite is Fillydelphia.

Really, Pickle? I find Canterlot to be rather clever.
For those who may have missed it, it's a play on the mythical kingdom of Camelot. Ruled over by the famous King Arthur.

Oh, I completely missed that one. I knew it was on the figuration of cantering in horse back riding, but I didn't connect it to Camelot. That's a very clever one. It seems as though Ponyville is the only town in Equestria that isn't a pun. Although I heard that Fillydelphia was going to be the name of the main town, but Hasbro still wanted the location to by Ponyville. Very similar to the Generation 3 DVDs that came with the ponies.
