Yeah they Are anoying. Unlike Crickets where it is kinda Soothing to Hear. (Sorry, But Crickets Just Inhances the Scilence For Me. I Like a Little Noise before I go to Bed. Weather it's From the Tv or My Laptop. Works like a charm.)

Frogs? No they dont drone on an on... there is one bug that does that but I forget its name. (Or maybe theres more than one.)

Well if you listen Jackle theres 2 beats to a frogs call. It might be a toad if it sounds like mowah because I dont think I can picture a frog makeing that noise.

It must be pretty fun having all sorts of animals around, whether they be intentionally sheltered or not...you guys ever get any rare visitors up around your home?
Oddest thing I can find from my end are Beavers on special occasions. There's like a little creek for them down the road...least I assume it's a Beaver... XD

Animal visitors, you mean?
We get raccoons and one night I saw a opossum. We hear screech owls sometimes, and a neighbor informed us of a black bear they had seen on our property.
The most exciting was a few years ago when we had a cougar (mountain lion)!
