Gaming Discussion

Hey all J-L here, I figure since I didn't see a gaming discussion topic I'd start one one in the off-topic section for any other game, besides NiGHTS. Now when I'm not working on my story, I like to sit back and play a game from the Fallout series, I personally like the atmosphere and the class of the game. The music isn't that bad either. Out of five stars I'd roughly give the series itself four stars out of five.

Now what other games do you guys like? Feel free to express your opinions on any game. I'd love to find out what else is out there that is fairly decent.

Whenever I am not making videos for my youtube channel I like to play under rated gems like turok or destruction derby to me turok gets a 6 out of ten and destruction derby a 8 out of 10.

Right now I really fell in love with Super smash bro's brawl again.. I love just the story line I thought it would have been nice with skits... But I can't play it because I'm moving.

Nothing gets me excited quite like Action RPGs. Top of my list of games is the Tales Series. It's battle system is second to none, allowing a blitz of combos while others cast spells mid-combo to do more damage, and there's plenty to choose from. Of course, there's more to enjoy than the battle system. The character lines are amusing, such as skits & such. The storylines is compelling and will keep you guessing. I also wanna note that they've adapted some anime off of some of these games.

Sadly, SiLK, there aren't many Tales games for GC or Wii. A few for PS1 & PS2 though(which are currently in my collection).

Hey, I love Sailor Moon. I grew up watching it. Anime like that always had style & flair.

He probably Dualized with one of them at one point...

I've been looking for a way to play the RPG, Sailor Moon: Another Story.

Meanwhile, Sailor Moon fighting sprites have been used alot in the fighting game engine, MUGEN, and YouTube has them everywhere.

I wish they'd make a decent game for the consoles and handhelds. It's long overdue.

BTW, Whirlwynd wrote a crossover fic of SM & NiGHTS once. It was so long ago...

I, myself, am a huge gamer at times (at least, whenever I'm not busy with other things). I would love to list all the gaming series(es? I fail at plural forms of certain words) that I play, but that would wind up with a huge wall of text involving explanations of each game and whatnot. Surprisingly enough, I learned a lot from video games (in fact, I learned a lot more from games than teachers, parents, and role models (even thought I don't think I had any, lol) combined).
I think that this may have stemmed from my own loneliness, though, seeing as though I've almost always have been bullied in the past and had practically little to no friends.

Anhywho, back on topic:
The games and series that I am currently playing are Elite Beat Agents (what? I love music games, so why not), Trauma Center, Kirby, Pokemon (mostly the older GBA games), Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Fire Emblem (GBA, again), Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban), and Professor Layton, to name a few. This is excluding games on the computer and adoptable/pet sites that I frequently visit.

I've been curious about Trauma Center. Are they good games?

Yes, SiLK, Trauma Center is a fairly good game series, in my opinion. I have 3 games from the series (two for the Wii and one of the DS games). Although, there are some operations that are very frustrating (multiple people and burns don't bode well in the DS version or its sequel), but those also help with the complex storyline that the games have.

Shifting to Sony for a moment, I once played a game that got me hooked to RPGs(after I sucked on them after playing a couple Genesis titles). It was called Alundra, and it involved a dreamwalking elfish warrior that was going after a demon who was leeching power off of peoples dreams, creating nightmares and such.
