My Little Pony?

So, has everyone heard the news?
Discord is back! Apparently the next episode is all about him and the attempts to reform him, and it airs on the 19th!

Granted this apparently comes from wikipedia, which anyone can edit. So I'm not 100% believing it yet, but it does sound promising and we were told by the actors that Discord would be back...

Huh, i wonder how there going to prevent him from spreading chaos while they try to do that. Still if there successful (or Fluttershy is successful) I wonder if this will lead to Discord being a reoccurring character.

I would like to see more of Discord, he's an interesting character.
Odd that it's Fluttershy he relates to, though. In his first appearance, he seemed to bond more with Twilight.

Since Discord was Based of & Voiced by the actor who played "Q" on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" I believe the relationship with Twilight was suppose to be something akin to the one Q had with Picard in the former show.

& I would like to mention that "Q" did have his own Character arc throughout "Next Generation" from that one episode in "Deep Space Nine" to his appearances in "Voyager" where He gained a Wife & Child of his own.

So as far as I'm concerned with the Direction the Guys who are doing G4 My Little Pony are going. I do not think that it will be out of character at all.

Discord is obviously almost identical to Q, but My Little Pony is not Star Trek.

Try adding "Good point, but in my opinion..." or something to that effect to remain respectful of your fellow members.

I've been entertaining the thought that Discord is Q, playing with the MLP universe.
Even though the two shows have nothing in common, it's a fun idea.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Discord behaves in the new episode.

You really should see some of the Discord fics in fanfiction.net or artwork on Deviantart, Silk. there's alot of stuff on there which match your thoughts about Discord & Q being the same individual. I can sent You Links to some of them, if you like?

I wonder if Discord could be connected to the holiday version for April Fools in the MLP universe I mean we know the names for Halloween and Christmas there so what about the other special days. My guess if it is true is it's called Discord Fools.

Good thought, but it's too tempting to turn the holiday title into a pun. So what would that be called? April Foals? April Mules?

Has anyone else noticed how mules are sort of treated like 2nd class citizens in Ponyville?
There seem to be a lot of "no offense" comments whenever a mule is noticed in the area. Rarity was highly offended to be compared to one.

It just seems a little odd in an equine society, especially since a mule is just a cross between a horse or pony, and a donkey.
Why do we never see donkeys? Though granted, the "mule" always looks more like a donkey, and even has a donkey tail instead of a mule's horse tail.
In fact, you never see an actual mule in the series. If an equine is introduced as a mule, they seem to always have donkey tails.
Mulia Mild was a donkey, not a mule. And of course, her name was a pun on Julia Child's.

My point is that ponies seem a little racist when it comes to mules/donkeys.
They accept Zecora and she's the only zebra in the show. So why not show equal respect to the other equines?
It just seems strange and out of place in the series, that's all I'm saying.

My guess is Discord will most likely will be getting the side of Fluttershy we've seen in Dragonshy cause we all know we love Fluttershy the way she is but push her over the edge and she turns from cute to down right scary.

Indeed, then again all of the Mane 6 have points where you shouldn't get them angry like in the first episode of Season 3 Twilight got angry at Spike calling her test just a test or in the last Rodeo where Pinkie Pie got angry that Applejack broke the pinky promise.

Discord is really channeling Q in this one, you just have to love him XD

Indeed, I read on the speculation that it might have taken inspiration from the Deja Q episode of Star Trek for this.

FiM has actually made me watch Star Trek again.

Was that animation for the Documentary about Bronies? It looks like the work of the official show.

It's definitely official since it has the actual actors in it. But as for being in the documentary, I don't know.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, then I would guess yes?

The animation was done by Jananimations who owns the Tumblr blogs Ask The Cuite Mark Crusaders and Ask Emerald-May (His OC you can see her in the classroom, shes the purple Pegasus with emerald hair)

Still this was a good animation and the song was nice. I also like how the voice actors are willing to lend there voices for animators ^^

That's nice that they're allowed to help.

When I was doing voices for Frobman's Summer of Sonic animation, we reached out to Michael Pollock (the voice of Eggman) but he's not allowed to perform his Eggman voice outside of his job.

From what I've seen, most voice actors are very nice and willing to help out whenever they can. It's just legal issues that prevent them sometimes.

Yeah I guess it's hard to get celebrity voice actors to perform for internet flashes or shows althrough they are willing. Be it doing a one line or a song or even a live apperance on a internet show aka Rob Paulsen and this goes with actual actors and actresses.
