Hi NiGHTS. How's Silk Doing with Her Recovery?
I hope that You are helping take good care of her while She's Bedridden?

Is there anything in Nightopia or Nightmare that could help cure Silk of her ailment?

Er, I'm not sure how to answer that, DR. This is a real sickness, it's not an event.
If you could have seen the fever chills that poor Silk had to go through, you'd know just how bad this was!

Silk was bitten by a tick and came down with Lyme disease, which is a very serious infection, and can be fatal if not properly treated.
Luckily Silk was treated almost right away and rested a lot, so that infection is gone.

But she had a bad reaction to the antibiotics that killed the infection, that's what has her needing to rest now.

This is not a TRS plot, Silk really is sick. But she's almost all better now. Once she feels rested enough, she'll come back full time.

If you really want to help, you can send Silk a private note to wish her a full recovery. No one has done that, and I'm very surprised!
Silk would send anyone here a Get Well Soon note if she knew that they were badly sick... doesn't she deserve the same consideration?

You see what you expect. Usually when NiGHTS and I speak for Silk it is an event... just not this time.

We have better sense than to make an event out of something so serious.

Silk was on briefly, but she stayed up too long and had to rest again.
So she is getting closer to returning, but it will take some time.

But no big deal, we don't need to make another video until July and Silk will definitely be back by then.

I hope not, at least not without help. Reala tends to not wanna care when he tries to take over. NiGHTS would be a good co-manager, I think.

Don't worry, I can check in often enough that Reala is hereby relieved of any show running duties.

And believe me, you do not want NiGHTS in charge... NiGHTS is a little better with people, but lacks Reala's sense of duty.

Whoa DR, I live with TRS NiGHTS, remember? And we've seen how playful (s)he is all through the series, so it's fairy obvious.
That comment seems a little out of line to me, especially when I've only just returned.
I mean ouch, I haven't earned a little respect after everything I've done?

Try to be a little more tolerant of what people post, please. And the emote isn't necessary.

Pay more attention to the episodes, it's actually a big part of NiGHTS' character that (s)he is more interested in having fun than in working.
In fact, not just in TRS. You see it in the games and in the comic too.

I get it, nobody likes Silk. But she runs the show, and she is only just back after having been extremely and seriously sick. Besides which, everyone here deserves more respect than you seem willing to give, and we expect it even moreso when the target is the admin of this forum!

Your lack of empathy shocks me, you of all people should know better!
First you accuse of of making an event out of a serious issue, and now this. Has your ability to judge the situation suffered or are you just not reading every post?

You owe an apology and if one is not delivered publicly, I will take punitive action!

I'm truly Very Sorry, Everyone. I really didn't mean any Disrespect to anyone.

I felt that what Silk Said was putting NiGHTS down. I didn't want His/Her Feelings to be hurt.

I've been put down before about such things before, in My past. Everyone would assume or judge me based on My behaviors & personality before they could even see or give me a chance at what I could do?
That had really Hurt my feelings & my Self Esteem, alot?

I didn't want NiGHTS to read that & get His/Her feeling or Self Esteem hurt, so I was sticking up for Him/Her.

I didn't want to create any trouble, I was only Thinking about NiGHTS welfare.

And Silk never put me down... come on, it's Silk! She loves me, and you know that. She'd never say or do anything to upset me, DR.

You're still getting to know me and that's okay, but you need to be more willing to listen to others, especially someone like Silk who knows me better. I didn't see anything even close to offensive in Silk's observation about how I like to have fun. It's true, I love fun!
The offensive part was you criticizing her for no good reason.

But you kind of just apologized and then took it back.
Please think about it and try to apologize more sincerely. I really don't want to have to enforce the forum rules...

It's not about trusting me, you know Silk well enough to know that she's not a mean person.

Silk's never been anything but nice to you, and you chose to ignore that today.

If you really mean that apology, please work on your tone. And don't ever post, until you have read the previous posts thoroughly, and decided that what you want to say really will contribute in a positive way to the discussion.

Maybe you're not aware DR, but everyone has their own form of NiGHTS (or me) who is very personal and devoted just to them.
Many others on this forum have correctly understood that this NiGHTS is Silk's personal NiGHTS. And indeed, it would be quite impossible for NiGHTS to be otherwise, since NiGHTS changes depending on who (s)he is with.

And yet you really think that Silk's NiGHTS would ever be anything other than entirely loyal and devoted to her and protective of her feelings?
Not that she would because she's soft like that, but even if Silk did say something unpleasant to NiGHTS, (s)he wouldn't take it the way that you seemed to expect.

If it happens again... you do realize that you are suggesting that Silk might become seriously ill again, don't you?
Hardly the sort of comment that should be part of a sincere apology.
Now I don't want you to fall to pieces or anything, but I do hope that you have the grace to feel badly about how you've acted.

Silk is not well enough for that sort of negativity, as you would know if you had paid the least bit of attention to our journals!
You've made yourself look very bad indeed, and it will take some time for you to redeem yourself. I'd focus on how to make it up to Silk, rather than attempting to justify your bad behavior.

NiGHTS tends to write any events down in the nightly journal... Apparently nothing beats a storm for excitement, lately.

I wish I could fly, then I would've beaten that storm on Memorial Day. Got soaked. Alot. Soon as I got to the house, the brunt was over. Razz

Lovely. Guess I should be glad I didn't get blasted by lightning. Wynd said it was a squall. It was 90+ degrees prior to it.

Silk said that Wynd lived in an area that really is windy. Is that true?

Last night's storm was short but fierce, like Jackle said in his journal, we had horizontal lighting... it's a lot nicer tonight, but the frogs are being really loud.
Silk just ran the garbage outside then got back in as fast as she could. She went to bed almost right away...

XD Pun totally not planned! Yes, NiGHTS, Wisconsin is an area that gets plenty of wind every now and then. Due to use being near Alaska, sometimes it gets a little chilly. A nice place, if you like snow. Smile

Horizontal lightning, huh? Poor SiLK. Storms above and nocturnals below. A girl just can't catch a break anymore.

At least she was more dry than I was...

Silk actually likes storms very much, just not when she's outside in them... kind of hypocritical if you ask me...

Actually, even though storms can be hazardous to humans, the sounds of the storm can be soothing to certain people. They've even been captured on CDs for musical comfort. I personally like those myself.

All kinds of outdoor sounds are used on CDs, and even combined with actual music. I think NiGHTS would like Moonlight Jazz.

I like music that I can dance to for the most part!

Though now that you mention it, Silk does have some music tapes and cds of thunderstorms, water flowing, and whales singing. Did you know that whales sing?
Musashi even showed Silk a whole website that's nothing but the sound of a big thunderstorm!
