Spyn, Silk was even closer to Poe than you realize. I mean, she watched Poe being born! That kind of closeness makes it even harder to say goodbye.
And Silk still hasn't managed to find a stone cat for Poe's grave... she's bummed about not getting that last detail settled.

I know that Silk will feel much better once Poe has a grave marker worthy of how much Silk loved her.

Anyone helping Silk find a stone cat, please be sure to link to where it's being sold rather than just the statue itself!
It will be such a huge help if anyone can make this happen!

We're looking for something that either resembles Poe (which is difficult because Poe had unique markings), or is solid color, preferably dark.
Silk likes winged cats, but the angel statues don't really appeal to her, especially since Willow's grave has one. She wants something different for Poe.

Also keep in mind that painted stones will chip and fade outside unless they have a special coating to protect them.

We're still having no luck with Poe's statue, but Silk is hopeful that she might find one at Princeton Communiversity tomorrow. There will be lots of vendors selling all sorts of things!

we're only after a sitting cat statue, we don't want any obvious wings or mice or anything cutesy like that.

Hm, perhaps something bigger and solid colored. As was said, Poe had unique markings and no statue will resemble her. Since Silk cannot afford to commission an artist to create a replica of Poe, she requires a solid colored statue instead.
And as this is for a grave, it must be larger than a mere six inches. Try a foot, at least.

Well... Egyptian recreations are still a little gimmicky. See the molded crest or maybe it's a snake? on the cat's chest?
We'd prefer an American Shorthair type of cat and one made of stone. Plus it's still small, and as Reala pointed out we need something larger so it's visible on the grave.
That cat is also meant to be an indoor decoration, so I'm afraid one like that would break after a few years outside.

Stone only, please!

Actually Spyn, Reala and I live with Silk so we don't need to share links here. We just have her look at what we find. Your attacks on Reala apply to me as well, so I can't say that I like it!

And Reala did look, but Silk already saw that statue and dismissed it since Poe was a shorthair and that's a longhair. She's done multiple seaches on amazon so pretty much anything you find there has already been looked at by us.
And Reala's still not a checkerboard, although his lair is indeed checkered...

You're obviously frustrated, so I don't really see a problem with Reala's suggestion to stop searching if it's getting to you.
As always, Reala's way of saying it is terrible, but that's just how Reala tries to be helpful...

2) Quitting is not an option. I don't give up on a friend in need of assistance, ESPECIALLY when she's in grieving. I just have to figure out another way to go about it. And I'm definitely not giving Reala the satisfaction of knowing that I gave up.

There's gotta be someplace that has close to what we're looking for... It's like a quest...to find that elusive artifact...

Silk will probably find a suitable statue when she finally makes it to the statuary shop. It's fairly far from her house or obviously she would have gone there first.

Do you think that I like having Silk depressed? My show isn't being made! In no way do I benefit from losing the aid of the only human willing to assist in this search!!
