TRS Paperchildren

Post  laylatheangelsprite on Mon Jul 18, 2011 12:08 pm

Well inspiration calls me. So I decided to do this based off of Silk's paper craft.

It screamed to me... Hehehe I caught you! Put me down I say! I am Reala! REALA I TELL YOU!

How you make a paper child/children Is simple yet difficult at some parts.
You have to have Draw out where its going to be and how you or your something will interact with your paper child. In this case my fingers are interacting with Reala's head.
Make the paper child seem as if you were actually holding someone head. If they were that size in that case...
You have to give them weight to make it seem like they are hanging or they got some gravity on the floor/table/where ever they seem to be standing. On the white outline If its meant to touch a surface you got to cut off and smooth the bottoms of whats touching or it will seem like they are just in the air still.
If your paper seems kinda flimsy or it will bend down, take something like a tooth pick or a twist tie and get some tape and give it some security.
Other from that give it some weight and have it interact with something and your paperchild comes to life.

Hm, Technically that is fanart, Layla.
But there are no craft topics covering this form of art, so if you want to tweak your post to explain how others can make their own, it can stay where it is...

The craft section is for sharing crafts that everyone can do. If it's just a one time thing that you did yourself and can't teach, it goes in fanart.

Has anyone else made any of these? It seems a shame that there are only two here.

Feel free to make your own, you don't have to be holding them if you're shy about photographing your fingers. They could be peering around a computer or looking out your window. Pleeeeease?

Post  TRS NiGHTS on Fri Apr 12, 2013 1:13 pm

Hi, Ahlian!
I'm not sure why you are asking what Silk hopes to gain from sharing her art, or was that just a bad translation?

The purpose of this thread is to draw characters from the show, and then photograph yourself holding them, like Silk and Layla did here.
It's just to be creative and fun, feel free to make your own if you want to! We would love to see!

That goes for everyone else by the way, I really want to see more of these!

Please make more, and color them too!
Hey Silk, maybe you can make a Tier paperdoll! That'd be so funny!

Oh, anyone else can make one too, I don't mind!

I made one to cheer myself up.  Tier's the inspiration behind the show, so I think (s)he fits in here.

- "Help me Layla! Reala has trapped me in a glass!"

Oh Reala shinanagans.

*Muffled baby like screams from the kitchen*
Reala...... Evil or Very Mad

Reala.... Why'd you do it?

- "You'll be next human if you don't quit it."

Ouch...

I set NiGHTS free and now seems to be resting.

Oh I also found Jackle

He didn't want me to wrinkle his cape. (TwT) I just wanted to say hello.
