The NiD Comics

Anyone have anything (good or bad) to say about the NiGHTS Comics?

You mean the ones by Archie Comics or just NiGHTS comics in general?

They were interesting and I liked NiGHTS misadventures in the waking world, but the talking Nightopians were a little weird. Other then that, I rather liked them.

I liked the pians. I just didn't like how they shaped NiGHTS' and Reala's heads in the last 3 comics ... Freaky.

Also the fact that they could have stayed with the game story instead of improvising a little too much.

Yeah, the way they drew the Nightmaren in general was a little funky, but I expected as much out of Archie. It would've been better if they had made the head a little more rounded off. At least they got the hats mostly right.

Its understandable that they improvised a little bit though. If they had stayed strictly to the game format, then it wouldn't have made for a decent comic.

I thought the comic's were pretty good...though I 100% agree with the whole, "funky style" comment. Dl

I liked the part in the comic (can't remember which one) where it made a reference to where's waldo...

I liked that part too, though I spent like 10 minutes trying to fiind him the first time. XD

But what did you guys think about Reala taking over Roger's body in the waking? I found that part just a little on the weird side. I don't know why though...

Didn't Roger become Reala? And Reala become Roger? So it was a body swap and not possesion then right?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's how it went.

I thought it was pretty funny how Reala thought locking NiGHTS in the basement would finish him off, though. XD

Well, being away from the dreamworld-portal-thing was killing NiGHTS. The only reason Reala was surviving was because Roger was supplying dream energy.

I have been one-up'ed.

But what I was mainly pointing out is that they didn't tie NiGHTS up or anything. They just put him down there and shut the door on him. XD

NiGHTS could barely move. No energy=no movement. Besides even if NiGHTS could get out s/he would have to get passed Roger, Reala, and the cops. And s/he didn't have enough strength to fight.

I, too, thought the "official" comics were a little lacking. Non-existant was the feeling of the action I felt from the game.

It was just unfortunately that Reala made the critical mistake of choosing such a weak-willed dreamer like Roger. XD
