Molly's Dollies FAQ
This will be updated as I get more questions.
Q: Where Did You Get Your Dolls?
A: Except for NiGHTS, Reala, Claris, Elliot, Nightopian, and Super Nightopian and Gillwing, I made them myself.
Q: Do I have to pay for my doll?
A: Yes. I do expect to be paid for my hard work. (seriously, what? )
Q: What are your dolls made of?
A: Just plain old craft store felt. I can use more expensive materials, but they cost more. Feel free to ask if you're willing to pay a little more to cover the expense
Q: What if I change my mind after I hire you to make my doll?
A: Don't. This is why I require a non refundable deposit. If you back out, you're out $10 and I have something to show for the wasted effort I put into your doll.
Q: What if I can't send the rest of my payment right away?
A: I will hold your doll for ransom for up to two weeks after finishing. If No payment comes in before time is up, the doll will be sold to someone else.
Q: Do You Share Your Patterns?
A: As a rule no, but I do have one for free on my blog. The Fat Dragon Pattern (click the name, it's a link)
Q: If I paid you, would you sell me the pattern for one of your other dolls?
A: Not at this time, sorry. I will give you the links to some wonderful free patterns, though.
Q: Will you teach me to make my own doll?
A:[b/] Yes I will, I already have a link on how to make a ball, which can be used for a doll body. And I'm always happy to offer tips on how to make your own.
[b]Q: That's too much! Can't you make my doll for cheaper?
A: I'm actually the least expensive plush artist that I have seen, for my skill level. But if you find someone making similar dolls for less, please show me.
More to come...
